It’s been an exciting week in Canada and I certainly had some shit to say about it all. But I’ve been very quiet. Some of you may be wondering just why. How come no hooting from Grumpy?
Well, I’ve been in the furthest reaches of computer hell.
My week started with a cat spraying my coat and just went downhill from there. Computer viruses, laptop problems and a series of events, ranging from the inexplicably terrible to the terribly inexplicable, wiped out my information, my savings and my usual good cheer.
Without a computer, my roommate and I were reduced to the unthinkable: Magazines, books and conversation. Can you even imagine the horror of that? Paper learning? In this day and age?
But I now have a laptop up and running. All I need are those see no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil skeletons to sit on my monitor. They seem appropriate.
